Conference

You are probably just as shocked as I am: it is December already! Wasn’t it just a little while ago that we enjoyed summer vacation, leaving our concerns for our international churches far behind us? Now we’re in the grind of starting a new season, welcoming newcomers, filling spaces left by those who moved on, implementing missional strategies we wished had started years earlier, and Christmas just seven weeks away! Yikes!

In early October, the MICN leadership team got together in the beautiful city of Kuwait, our conference site for 2013. We met up with Warren Reeve, founder of MICN, and planned for the upcoming 2012 conference next April 16-20 in Hanoi, Vietnam. We are excited about what the conference will offer to you: a thousand-year old city with historic and cultural sites to explore, a keynote speaker from Asia with a Biblical holistic worldview, and another opportunity a meet new and old friends who are wrestling with the same questions you are.

Graham Chipps, who has recruited CB Samuel as our keynote speaker, has provided an introduction for you in this newsletter. Future newsletters will also feature selected articles so that you will become familiar with the thinking of our speaker.

The conference fee this year is $275, with an early-bird discount of $25 if you register before March 1. The conference fee covers the following:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday dinners
  • Tuesday and Thursday lunches
  • Wednesday cultural show
  • Coffee breaks & snacks
  • Conference speaker fare & board
  • Manuals & miscellaneous costs

That’s a lot for a small fee! So don’t wait and click on the button…
