Sight Seeing
Here is a great excuse to take your mind of the pressing Christmas preparations and plan your next escape! When you join us for the MICN conference in Hanoi on April 16-20, treat yourself and spend an extra day or two to see more of beautiful Vietnam. Take your spouse to Ha Long Bay or treat her on an overnight at a luxurious resort. Spend a day playing golf with one of our church leaders. Adventure on bicycle through the country side. If low on budget, there are hundreds of tourist spots starting at $15/night in the old quarter. Below are some recommendations:
Ha Long Bay
One of the seven wonders of the world, it is a must-see if you are visiting Vietnam! Since it is a 4-hour bus trip from Hanoi, doing an overnight stay on one of the luxury junks is the best way to experience it. You could leave at noon on Friday and return Saturday night (and join HIF for worship on Sunday!). Check out these web sites for more details and booking:

Golfing
Hanoi has numerous golf courses and resorts in the area. One of our church leaders has offered to take you on a golfing trip to a beautiful course in the Tam Dao mountains or at the hot springs resort. He’ll be leaving early Monday morning on April 16 and get you back to the hotel before the evening banquet. Please register here in advance so we can book transportation: http://bit.ly/micngolf
Emeralda Resort
Ninh Binh province (also known as the Ha Long Bay on land)

Here’s what one of our members said: We got $250, for 2 nights, included breakfast, indoor pool, another big outdoor pool with great view, free round trip car pickup, $10 day bike rental, we explored an amazing spot which was unlike anything we’ve seen in VN, pristine and untouched. The Vinh Long nature preserve is 10 min walk away and not as touristy as the other places in Ninh Binh. You can see monkeys on the boat trip. Great place for kids also, so peaceful and relaxing. For a special getaway that is 2 hours from Hanoi, we found our spot!
